About Me
I have always been a scribbler. From my early years as a bubbly and quiet church girl, I found solace in writing. With a pen in hand and my late grandmother's memo pad as my canvas, I began to write stories and pour my heart into poetic expressions. Of course, back then it was toddler scribbles and my mother would nod along as I gave the best baby gibberish to relay my stories. Anyway...
After graduating from college, life invited me into a deep spiritual deconstruction. Ten years later, I keep my spirituality close to my chest now. It’s sacred, private, and just for me.
I live a relatively quiet, private life overall. I write poetry that’s raw, healing, and rooted in self-rediscovery. Work that speaks to identity, queerness, spirituality, grief, resilience, and joy. I want my writings to be a lil’ space for all the messy, joyful, and transformative parts of becoming — the queer awakening, the grief, the celebration, and the bold return to self. My words are for anyone who’s ever had to break their own mold, reintroduce themselves to themselves, and find wholeness on their own terms.
Throughout my journey, I have 7 poetry projects, each representing a chapter of my growth and self-expression. These collections have allowed me to share my unique perspective with readers. Additionally, I published first novel, Sloppy, marking a significant milestone in my writing career. Still working on the second installment.
When I’m not writing, I’m usually reading, traveling, lounging, or dancing barefoot in my kitchen. I like coffee, tea (herbal), tequila or a Long Island…It depends on the kind of day, Suga. I’m a French fries and grits-with-bacon kind of woman, a morning person (not too early now...8amish) who loves live theater, late-night laughter, and letting the music set the mood. Billie Holiday’s “Summertime” lives in my bones. Music is my constant: jazz, rock, soul, house, edm folk, R&B, metal, hip hop, funk... if it’s honest and full of grit, I’m with it.
At the end of the day, I’m just someone trying to live honestly, love deeply, and make something meaningful out of it all. I value softness, truth, and soul…and I tell stories because I believe in their power to hold us, free us, and remind us who we really are.
My recent collection (8th poetry project) Rising From The Roots, is an invitation to consider your own roots and discover your potential. If you snag a copy of, Rising From The Roots, I hope you finish reading it feeling seen, uplifted, and ready to rise. I’m still growing. Learning. One page at a time, really.

I’m opening up about my experience with chronic illness and feeling dismissed in a spiritual space…in god’s name. This is my way of asking for more compassion and understanding—because everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and believed, especially when they’re hurting...literally.
